Top 5 Worst Airports in the World

Make sure your next trip is a smooth one by avoiding these top 5 worst airports in the world.

1. Port Harcourt International Airport, Nigeria (PHC)

PHC was voted as the worst airport in Africa, and one of the worst in the world. There is practically no seating, broken air-conditioning and a tent for an Arrivals Hall. Though recently there have been some renovations done within the airport, PHC is still renowned for it’s rude and unhelpful staff, and has been nicknamed, the “most corrupt airport in the world.”

2. Tashkent International Airport, Uzbekistan (TAS)

Chaotic is just word to describe the queues and crowds at TAS! These queues are found at all stages of the airport experience and are often chaotic-verging-on-aggressive, as well as lacking from any form of crowd control. In this airport it truly is, one-man-for-himself. On top of this, amenities are basic, and you will be lucky to even find a chair.

3. Caracas Simón Bolívar International Airport, Venezuela (CCS)

An absence of chairs, dirty bathrooms and low quality of food are just a few of the reasons why CCS is on the list of worst airports in the world.

4. Paris Beauvais-Tille International Airport outside Paris, France (BVA)

BVA was voted as the worst airport in Europe, mainly due to the chaotic crowds, absence of chairs, rude staff, insufficient toilets and unhygienic standards.

5. Ho Chi Minh City Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport, Vietnam (SGN)

Corruption is the main reason SGN has made the list, with main passengers reporting the customs officers asking for bribes in order to move through the process faster. Those that refuse to pay quickly face problems and delays with their paperwork.
